Over the last 100 years, great strides have been made towards improving workplace safety throughout America. Yet, workplace accidents are still a leading cause of serious injury and disability as well as accounting for more than 5,000 deaths each year. In addition to pain, suffering and loss, workplace injuries are estimated to cost more than $160 billion each year. Clearly, workplace safety is still a major problem. However, establishing a carefully designed safety program for a business, no matter the industry, can go a long way towards reducing or eliminating the main jobsite safety risks to employees.​
