MEET THE TEAM
CPMI emerged in 1987 as one of the founding consulting firms that specialized in Workplace Safety, OSHA Compliance, Human Resources and Employee Training. As laws, regulation and company policies change, it is important that the company communicates with employees. This is how CPMI gained its acclaimed reputation. CPMI addresses such changes graciously, enabling a Positive Safety Culture in every workplace environment.
As a founding member of CPMI, Phyllis Holcomb brings a wealth of first-hand experience in personnel management. She began her career working at a prestressed concrete manufacturer and served as Secretary/Treasurer of the corporation. Her responsibilities included managing the accounting department, the human resource department, and the safety department. CPMI was established in 1987, and with the new regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), employers were seeking a service that few entities were offering. Safety Consultants were now in high demand, and this is where Phyllis began her journey. Now, in business for over 30 years, Phyllis' vision for a fully comprehensive Safety and HR consulting firm has been realized. CPMI provides industry leading services to employers across Texas.
Phyllis is currently on the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission list as an Approved Professional Safety Source. She attended Texas Christian University and the Harvard University Summer Management Program.
Paula Carter, is the Co-Founder of CPMI. In addition to safety training, her expertise is focused on Human Resource consulting. She has been a member of the Society for Human Resources Management for several years.
Before joining CPMI, she was Vice-President of a textile company where her responsibilities included employee safety and human resource issues as well as assisting in the development of textiles, colors and patterns.
She earned an Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design in 1978 and has attended Texas Christian University and Amarillo College.
